Conventional or traditional water treatment plants, are delivered by design and construct means to meet specific client specifications and performance requirements. The company's plants invariably integrate flocculation, clarification and filtration processes within RC water-retaining structures. Hydraulically suspended pulsed sludge blanket clarifiers are usually proposed where sedimentation is appropriate. Constant level constant flow dual media open rapid gravity filters are usually proposed with gravity flow "back ends" - to filtered water balance tank/clear water tanks. Ancillary plant and equipment such as filter washwater recovery systems, sludge thickeners/drying beds, raw water, high lift and booster pump stations, buildings and the like are invariably to site specific designs.

The integration of civil, process, hydraulic, mechanical/ electrical, controls and instrumentation, design, documentation, construction, SCADA and commissioning works is effected in a comprehensive and seamless manner. In-house skill base includes Electrical and Mechanical design, CAD and 3D Modelling and extensively experienced Construction Supervisors. Where necessary, specialist consultants are utilized where in-house skills or resources are not sufficient, eg structural design, geotechnical assessments, design reviews, water hammer/network analysis, building detail design and QA inspection services. Although Conventional Plant is always designed site specific - to performance or specific job specifications - the cumulative benefits of evolved standard designs for ancillary plant is realised through the corporate experience of over 50 turn-key Conventional Plant installations over 20 years. Plant design and application engineering pays close attention to fitness for purpose, operability and maintainability with emphasis on performance, simplicity, durability, process stability, access and safety. The company procures directly all proprietary equipment such as pumps, switchgear etc. subject to in-house developed equipment data sheets, design and QA/ITP's. All fabricated equipment, silos, access galleries, stainless steel pipework and the like, are "bought-in", however all are subject to in-house drawings, data sheets and QA/ITP's. The company maximises wherever possible, the employment of local subcontractors for RC structures construction, cabling, civil and building works etc., this work is coordinated, supervised and project managed through experienced in-house Construction Supervisors and project engineers - to ensure that continuity of responsibility is maintained and that demarcation issues arising from the integration of various trades, disciplines and work packages are minimised.
Aquagenics is well resourced, positioned, experienced and focused on the design, construction and commissioning of Conventional Water Treatment Plant.
