Autodesk's AutoCAD(2D) and Inventor(3D) software is extensively used for design/modelling of building arrangements, plant ancillary equipment, tanks, pipework etc.

3D models facilitate inputs from client's plant operations staff and engineers - usually by means of a HAZOP study and concept design reviews - to incorporate clients specific needs.

Final reviews by OH&S consultants and third party designers are thus facilitated prior to the final development of 2D fabrication and manufacturing shop drawings.
