Each AQUAPAC®  installation incorporates a SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) package. The SCADA package includes an operator interface - desktop PC - integrated with the plant PLC control system.

SCADA provides plant performance graphics, trends, alarm logs, data logging, reports and direct control of the process and ancillary plant at a screen/mouse station.

Adjustment of set points for pump and plant controls, alarms, chemical dosing etc. Each AQUAPAC® SCADA system has provision for remote PC/laptop access for plant monitoring, direct control and to generate reports.

Online support from Aquagenics' Smithfield office is facilitated by modem access to PLC programs and SCADA.

Automation of plant control, filter backwashing, chemical systems, sludge management and water quality management is highly developed. Online instrumentation for flow-metering, chemical storage levels, clear water and wash water tank levels, chlorine residuals, dosed water and final pH, filtrate turbidities etc., are marshalled at a central wet rack - indoors.

SCADA screen details are available for equipment suppliers, chemical safe-handling and material-safety data sheets, component data sheets, proprietary equipment literature, plant operation, plant drawings, PLC/Citect programs - as necessary to operate and maintain the plant.

SCADA systems provide excellent management tools for real time verification and supervision of plant performance; facilitates implementation of  Quality Assurance, routine reviews and historical documentation of plant performance.
